The True Folkswagon

you can buy a tata nano
[#]

Sir, now you can buy a Tata Nano. Hurray !!

Business Week -

It’s called the Nano, for its high technology and small size. It’s cute, compact, and contemporary. It’s a complete four-door car with a 623-cc gas engine, gets 50 miles to the gallon, and seats up to five. It meets domestic emissions norms and will soon comply with European standards. It’s 8% smaller in outer length than its closest rival, Suzuki’s Maruti 800, but has 21% more volume inside. And at $2,500 before taxes (value-added taxes increase the price by about $300), it is the most inexpensive car in the world. Starting this fall, the Nano will roll off the assembly lines at a Tata Motors (TTM) plant in Singur, Bengal, and navigate India’s potholed roads.

Enn Iniya Iyandhira !!

robot_shankar_rajini_kamal_shahrukh_1.jpg

And what a robo-coaster it has been. Atleast I’m happy that its finally making it to the screen. If only Shankar gives up his vigilante genre, if only Rajini stops his vishk-vishk, if only Rahman gets back to his Thiruda Thiruda BGMs and if only Sujatha scripts a modern day science fiction, what a film this can become.

As of now, no one knows the story yet and it is certainly not Sujatha’s Enn Iniya Iyandhira. But then who wouldn’t love to speculate.

Photo Tag

by the night

A photograph for a tag.

Shot this from Alki Beach opposite to the Seattle downtown. I waited nearly three hours for the sun to go down so that I could get one such shot. This was one among the 15 pictures that I shot and only this came through slightly well. For some weird reason, it was also published in a seattle guide book.
