The titans of Tamil film industry- superstar Rajnikanth and top director Shankar are coming together in a film to be produced by AVM, one of the oldest banners in Tamil.
This will be the biggest ever film made in South India and the deal was cemented today. Shankar has started work on the script of the film which will be released next year.
Too many things to happen on a same day is just too much to handle. Talk about handling Memento’s screenplay.
This news seems to be as interesting as Kamal’s Dasavatharam. So what’s the name. Intially this was a P.S to the previous post and when I caught this on Sify, I think the rumor is getting to be true.
I am one of those who think, Rajini missing Shankar’s Muthalvan is one of the biggest sins he commited during his acting career. Now the sin will be excused.

gr8 stuff…..i was excited by vettayadu vilayadu seeing the light through oscar ravichandran and kamal+k.s.ravikumar was next and then came AVM+Thalaivar+Shankar………..it was too filling today man…it doesn’t get better than this!!!……Finally Rajni gets a good director and definitely a good crew to work wid……i have forgotten abt Anniyan and It is thalaivar time now!!

Was just going through the net and found this Blog.
I’m not a Tamil. And obviously not a fan of Rajni too. But I can understand it completely.
Am very curious to know why you guys love him so much.
I do see tamil movies dubbed in other languages. My roommate happens to be a tamilian and I saw few movies of Rajni. And I couldnt control my laugh by seeing action scenes whereas my tamil friends watches them very seriously and admire those scenes too.. My God !!!!!
As an outsider, I cant imagine a person like Rajni gets such admiration.
Is it because of the reasons mentioned below?
1. His acting is good. May be. But I havent seen him acting so good in his recent movies. Except the abnormal action scenes, I dont find anything interesting in his movies.
2. Because of his good deeds in the past. Dont know much about it. My friends told me that he donates lot of money to poor and looks after their welfare.
3. Lack of good actors in Tamil (Baring Kamal) in Rajnis generation. I know there are quite a few good actors now.
Guys, I really admire tamil movies. I can even die to see a movie of Bharatiraja, Balachandar, Balu Mahendra or Maniratnam.
And I’m a die hard fan of illayaraja…
But, the thing that I dont understand is WHY…. WHY do you like RajniKanth.. Please give me the right answer… I can understand if you are a kamal fan.. because he is simply an amazing actor.
I know that the biggest mistake one can do in his life it to ask a tamilian why he likes Rajni…

Then Y Shankar selected Rajini, Y shankar is that much curious to make a movie with Rajini. Shankar tried already a lot to do one of the best movie Muthalvan (Nayak in Hindi).
Don’t U think,There is something with Rajini, which is admiring shankar too.
So, the solution is, U ask Shankar itself to get the best answer, becaz, Before He select one guy to act in his movies, He must take more care whether that actor is good or not and all. Am I right?

The guy Anil asked a simple question, which a lot of people ask , why do Tamilians adore and respect someone like Rajnikanth whose acting skills are only limited.
Well , the answer is simple …
An actor becomes complete when the people who are watching him are able to connect with his emotions , his looks , the way he talks walks and does the rest …
Rajnikanth has a persona , a screen presecence which most actors don’t possess , he fills out the screen and makes eveyrone else feel small , now this creates a sense of awe in the viewer.
When you feel you want to imitate an actor , then it clearly shows that you are now connected with him. The whole idea of the human ego comes in play ,
people like malayalees don’t respect Rajni because he is dark and that for them that’s a major minus point ,that only goes to show their ignorance and nothing else PERIOD !!
P.S. - somebody made a remark abt Rajni being great since he was selected by Shankar , that is such an absurd thing too say …
